Ginger is a herbaceous perennial plant native to the East Indies, about 1 metre in height that enjoys shade and moist soils. It is characterized by a thick and aromatic tubular Rhizome. It has long, very fragrant leaves of dark green color and small yellow green flowers. And its fruits contain black seeds.
