How does it work?
Radian Massage Cream is a cream containing menthol, camphor, methyl salicylate and capsicum oleoresin. It works by reducing inflammation and by causing counter-irritation in the area where it is applied, which helps to soothe pain in the underlying tissues.
Methyl salicylate is a derivative of aspirin and has an anti-inflammatory effect. When applied to the skin it is absorbed into the underlying tissues, where it reduces pain and inflammation in the local area.
Camphor, methyl salicylate and capsicum oleoresin are counter-irritants. When applied to the skin they cause cause redness and a sensation of heat to be produced. This distracts the brain from the original pain and therefore reduces the perception of pain.
Menthol causes the blood vessels on the surface of the skin to widen. It causes a sensation of coldness followed by a reduction in pain.
Radian B muscle rub is used to relieve the symptoms of muscular aches and pains such as muscle stiffness, backache and fibrositis. The act of massaging the rub into the painful area also helps to relieve symptoms.
What is it used for?
Relieving muscular aches and pains such as:
Muscle stiffness.
Sprains, strains and sports injuries.
Inflamed muscles, tendons or ligaments, causing pain and stiffness (fibrositis).
Bruising.
How do I use it?
For adults and children over six years of age, the cream should be applied to the painful area and slowly massaged in. For muscle strains and stiffness it is best applied after a warm bath.
Wash your hands thoroughly after applying the cream to avoid getting it in your eyes or transferring it to sensitive areas of skin.
If symptoms persist despite treatment, seek medical advice from your doctor or pharmacist.
Warning!
Radian B muscle rub is for external use on the skin only. It must not be taken by mouth.
Do not apply the cream to broken or irritated skin.
Take care to avoid getting the cream in the eyes, mouth or nose, or on the face or sensitive areas of skin such as the genitals. If you accidentally get the cream on these areas wash it off immediately with plenty of water.
Don't cover the treated area of skin immediately after you have applied the cream; allow it a little time to be absorbed.
If your skin gets very irritated after applying this cream then don't use it any more.
Not to be used in
Children under six years of age
People who are allergic to salicylates, including aspirin.
This medicine should not be used if you are allergic to one or any of its ingredients. Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you have previously experienced such an allergy.
If you feel you have experienced an allergic reaction, stop using this medicine and inform your doctor or pharmacist immediately.
